Everyone Has A Story

Every one has a story

Every animal here has a story, and one in particular has a story with a happy ending. Not all animals that we rescue or take in have a happy ending despite our efforts to provide them with one.

Princess’s quest for a new home

Princess is a donkey with an attitude, as any spoiled princess would have. She once lived far way with a very old woman who did not live in a shoe, but on a farm.  The lady loved Princess very much, but as with a child who is given everything she wants, princess became very spoiled.  Soon the time came where the old lady was dying and she sent a message to a kingdom far away where farm animals could find refuge from the nastiness of the world. The lady arranged for her precious Princess to go live there before she died.
Princess liked her new home, but she wanted to go to a home where she was the only donkey, and so the people tried to find her a new home for two and a half years. Alas, came the day when a nice man traveled from afar and fell in love with the fair Princess despite her spoiled attitude (which had improved with the training the interim home had provided). The man adopted Princess, and she kicked up her heels with glee, for now she had a new family. And there she went to live happily ever after.

(This is a true story. Princess found a new home on April 20th 2005.)
